J.J. JOHNSON
Partner, Producer and Director

J.J. Johnson, 29, is the creator, producer, writer and director of “Dino Dan.” He is also partner and founder of Sinking Ship Entertainment where he captains the creative aspects of all Sinking Ship Entertainment series from development and production to writing and directing. After discovering Daniel Cook in 2002, J.J. went on to create, direct, write and co-produce the 2005 Alliance for Children and Television Grand Prize winner and Gemini-nominated series “This is Daniel Cook”. Since then, he has created some of Canada’s most popular children’s programmes to date including “This is Emily Yeung”, “Are we there yet? World Adventure”, “Roll Play” and “I dare you!”. The Toronto Star and enRoute magazine recognized J.J. as one of Canada’s top children’s television producers. Playback also named him a Top 10 to Watch in 2006. J.J. currently sits on the board of the Alliance for Children and Television. J.J. attended the School of Radio & Television Arts at Ryerson University and barely graduated in 2002.
