With scripts by renowned Canadian authors, original songs by acclaimed artists such as Sam Roberts and Kardinal, and the magical puppets of the award-winning Famous PEOPLE Players, the live-action pre-school series “Roll Play” gets kids moving. Each four-minute episode is a narrated story or song about the adventures of characters like Frank the Crab. While the movements of the Famous PEOPLE Player puppets play out on a black background, children re-enact the puppets movements against a crisp, white background. Visually stunning, “Roll Play” combines imaginative storytelling with physical movements designed to encourage viewer participation.

This series features an amazing cast of puppets and new original songs from a whole new cast of acclaimed artists. Artists who contributed songs to season one include Broken Social Scene, Patrick Pentland of Sloan, Kardinal Offishal, Great Big Sea, Sarah McCully, Jacksoul, Malajube, Prozzak, Jully Black, Andy Stochansky, and Jodie Resther.
