Sinking Ship Entertainment Makes a Splash with New Sales Worldwide
Leading children's entertainment company expands distribution footprint through key broadcast partnerships in Australia, Belgium, Canada, and China.
Toronto, Canada (May 25, 2023) –
Sinking Ship Entertainment is thrilled to announce a series of noteworthy international broadcast sales, solidifying its position as a global leader in children's content. The recent deals highlight the company's ongoing efforts to bring high-quality entertainment to young audiences worldwide.
ABC Australia is first out the gate to acquire the thrilling new school drama series from BBC Studios Kids & Family's PHOENIX RISE. The series commissioned by BBC Children's & Education recently launched in the UK on BBC iPlayer and has already sparked an exceptional level of interest from many broacasters around the world. PHOENIX RISE is a bold new series that champions the underdog. It follows six students who form an unbreakable bond as they navigate the trials and tribulations of school life.
RTBF in Belgium has secured two popular titles from Sinking Ship's portfolio: ODD SQUAD, a critically acclaimed live-action math comedy series coproduced with Fred Rogers Productions for PBS KIDS, along with THE UNLISTED, an exciting teen mystery series from Aquarius Productions. Additionally, DINO DAN has been sold to TFO in Canada.
Sinking Ship's sales representative, Bomanbridge Media, has succesfully brokered a deal with juggernaut streaming platform YouKu in China for Seasons III and IV of Sinking Ship's widely celebrated series, DINO DANA. Originally produced for Amazon Prime and TVO Kids, the first two seasons of DINO DANA launched on YouKu last year, and this new deal will enable audiences in China to continue following the thrilling adventures of Dana, a young paleontologist-in-training.
"We are delighted to announce these latest sales, which highlight Sinking Ship Entertainment's commitment to delivering exceptional content that engages and educates children across the globe," said Kate Sanagan, Head of Sales and Distribution. "The partnerships with all of these broadcasters signify our collective efforts to create meaningful entertainment experiences for young viewers, fostering their curiosity and enriching their understanding of the world."
